Happy Spring! A colorful time of the year to see the glory of God's creation. The flowers and trees blooming, the birds singing, baby animals being born and so many
beautiful things around us. The renewal of another season and our faith in Christ.
April 6th is the day that Bella passed away four years ago and it still doesn't seem real. The one real thing was her faith in Christ. Bella knew without a doubt that Jesus was her Savior and when this earthly life ended for her, eternal life with Jesus and the heavenly angels were immediately there to welcome her.
Bella taught me how precious life is and to be grateful for every moment! Please keep the children who are suffering with life threatening illnesses in prayer along with their families and the medical staff that cares for them.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported our March "Celebration" Event! We have reached our $20,000 goal because of YOU! We are also grateful to all of our Sponsors! This message is titled: "The Torn Veil"
Lately, there seems to be so much darkness surrounding us. The current wars overseas, the COVID pandemic, economic inflation, poverty, illness, death, depression, anxiety and fear. However, there is light waiting for us.
Let's take a moment and re-imagine that dark and grief filled day in the outer walls of Jerusalem where Jesus Christ was crucified. Jesus had been healing, ministering and saving eager followers for the past three years. Now, he hung on a wooden cross in disgrace and immense suffering. Mourners cried and wailed in sorrow. The light of day filled the land with darkness in the afternoon sky. The intense pain and suffering of Jesus on the cross finally ended when He cried out in a loud voice, "It is finished."
At that moment a great sound came from the temple. It was the sound of fabric ripping apart. Miraculously, without human intervention, the large, thick veil that separated the outer temple from the holy area tore in two from top to bottom.
The torn curtain symbolized the reality of the wooden cross. This was a new way that was now open to God! Jesus shed his blood for the forgiveness of sins for all mankind to those who believe in Him. This ultimate sacrifice allows everyone to enjoy forgiveness and enter into a personal relationship with God.
From that deep darkness of the original Good Friday, we received the best news and gift ever- Jesus had opened a way for us to be saved from our sins and to experience fellowship with God forever. He turned that darkness into an everlasting light that will ever shine brightly in love for each one of us! Thanks be to God for sending Jesus to save the world from their sins so that those who believe may live with Him forever.
