Good Afternoon Everyone,

The days of summer are winding down and hard to believe that school begins this month for many students. Praying over all of the teachers, faculty, students and parents for a safe and healthy academic year! Please continue to take precautions during the pandemic to protect yourself and others.

It was wonderful to be able to see family again over the summer and spend quality time together!

Thank you for your continual prayers and support of children with life threatening illnesses. There are many unexpected financial burdens placed on a family! Please remember the children who are fighting, those in remission and the families who have lost a loved one.

God is our strength. Please remember everyone in prayer. You can also email me with any specific prayer requests that you want me to pray about privately.

Keep your focus on Him, pray, hold onto scripture and His Word and He will show His presence. If you can just take a few minutes a day to think of what you are grateful for and thank Him, your worries seem to fade. Please take all of the necessary protection precautions when going out in public during this pandemic and treat everyone with love and kindness:) Live by the "Golden Rule."

We need and believe in prayer!!!! Prayer is sooo powerful!!!

The message today is "God Is Near." On a recent trip I had a return flight home at 6:15 in the morning. My friend wanted me to rest and told me several times that she would take me to the airport in the early morning but I felt this tugging on my heart to be there earlier. I told her that I wanted to leave at midnight and was fine spending the night in the airport until the flight boarded. She agreed to take me and drop me off. There was one woman sitting outside and a security officer inside the airport. When he saw me, he told me that the building next door, where they have car rentals, was open and had comfortable seating if I would like to go inside there and rest. Gladly, I took my luggage and went to the next building. The woman outside left and I was inside the building by myself. Shortly after, around 1:40am, a janitor came in to clean the building. Immediately we exchanged greetings and began talking. He told me that his name was Terrence. He noticed the pendant of Bella that I was wearing and asked if that was my daughter. "Yes" I told him and proceeded to tell him her story. He had tears in his eyes and told me that he lost his mother 9 years ago to ovarian cancer quickly and it placed a wedge between his brothers and sisters. He asked me if I would like to walk and talk with him while he did his job? I said, "Sure." Then, he said how his mom was the rock of the family and held everyone together. He said that he grew up Baptist and his mom always wanted him to get baptized and felt bad he never did it while she was living. He said that he has a good friend who is a Jehovah Witness and said that there are so many religions that he doesn't know what to believe anymore. I told him that the Bible is the true word of God and that is ALL he needs. Then, I asked him if he was saved and he threw his hands up in the air as if he was hopeless and said sadly, "I don't even know." I asked him if he wanted to be saved? He looked at me and said, "Of course!" I told him that he can be saved right now. He looked at me relieved but puzzled and said, "Really?" I smiled and said, "Of course." I asked Terrence to take my hands and we prayed together. I began by saying that the scripture says that where two or more are together praying, God is present and asked God to please be present with us. I asked Terrence if he believed that Jesus Christ died on the cross for his sins, rose from the dead, repents of his sins and accepts Jesus as his personal Savior?" He said humbly, "Yes." I said a closing prayer over him and his grieving heart and family. He looked up after we were finished and we both had tears in our eyes. He hugged me and told me that nobody had ever done that before for him and he kept thanking me. He said that God sent me as his angel that night and he was grateful that I helped him become saved. Then, his boss saw him and motioned for him that it was time to go to the next building so we parted our ways and said good-bye. I gave him my business card and asked him to please stay in touch and contact me anytime he needs prayer.

At 5:15am when I was checking in at the counter, Terrence came over to me and said hello. I was looking on my phone and he said hello again and I looked up, surprised and happy to see him! He wanted to thank me again for leading him to be saved and I told him that I am just here as a servant of God and He placed me there for a reason. He said that he felt different and was so happy that I was there for him! This made my heart so happy.

Something else so beautiful happened before 5:15am, while I was still in the other building, shortly after Terrence was saved and left the building, I was sitting there by myself and reflecting on what just happened to my amazement of God's purpose in my life. It hadn't been 10 minutes and I was staring at the sliding glass doors, which were clear the whole way down, and felt such a peace inside of my heart. All of a sudden and for no reason the sliding glass doors opened and closed by themself. I felt this overwhelming sensation of the Holy Spirit there as if to tell me that I completed my mission and am now on to the next one for His glory. God never fails to show His presence, even when we don't think that He is there. God is near....
