Happy Mother's Day to all of the mother figures in our lives! May you be blessed for the love and sacrifice you have shown us! I am so blessed by mom and stepmom for their unconditional love, prayers and support throughout the years.
As school comes to an end, summer is around the corner and the beauty of God's creation surrounds us in so many ways.
A special thank you to Rita Confer, Cindy Elmore, Traci Sorgenfrei, Cindy Heos and the sisters of SC Alpha Delta Kappa for holding a fundraising benefit on our behalf to help children with life threatening illnesses. Cindy Heos is our board member and represented us at the benefit. We are so blessed by all of you! A total will be announced soon.
We are so grateful to announce that the total raised for our March "Celebration" event was $21,266.62. Thank you to everyone for your continued support of children with cancer and life threatening illnesses. Please keep them, their families and medical teams in prayer.

With everything going on around the world- the wars, famine, uncertainty, addiction, fears, anxieties, depression, health and family concerns plus poverty, I thought it was the perfect time to use our scripture 2022 verse as the title of this message: "Be still and know that I am God."
As inflation rises along with work, health, personal and family concerns, life can be very overwhelming at times! It is difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel, a reprieve from it all! There is an answer...spiritual stillness. God considers resting in him- through prayer, supplication and honoring the Sabbath as ways to restore our peace and hope in Him! Without rest we can't see clearly and eventually stress, worry, fear and anxiety consume us.
After Elijah's stressful confrontation with Jezabel and Ahab, he ran himself into a state of complete exhaustion! God sent an angel to care for him. During a time of stillness, "the word of the Lord came to him" (1 Kings 19:9). Elijah though he alone was doing God's work. He had been so zealous that he didn't realize that 7,000 others hadn't bowed to Baal (verse 18).
Many of us think that we don't have time to stop and rest but something worse happens when we refuse to rest. Without rest our physical and spiritual health begins to fail. God heals us while we rest.
I need constant reminders of this much needed rest in my own life. As I take more time to rest in Him, I learn to surrender more to His will and not my own. We all need stillness so that God can keep our spiritual vision clear. Through life experiences, I am learning that our greatest strength may be our ability to stand still and trust God.
Scripture verse: Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God."
