Greetings, Fall is here and the change of seasons is renewing to the spirit! Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated and supported us in any way during the month of September for pediatric cancer cure research. Thank you to Stephanie Wright for organizing the t-shirt sale for us and to Susan at Embroid Me-Greenville East for the awesome t-shirts! Thank you to RHS and the football team w/ cheerleaders for hosting the 5th "Gold Out" to raise awareness for childhood cancer. Also, a special thanks to Tammy Dixon of EXP Realty and Ben Bounds of Benton Capital Mortgage and their teams for hosting an initial benefit for Angel Heart of Hope Ministry. It was so special and we hope that one day no parent will lose their child to cancer. Thank you for your continual prayers and supporting children with life threatening illnesses. There are many unexpected financial burdens placed on a family! Please remember the children who are fighting, those in remission and the families who have lost a loved one. God is our strength; keep your focus on Him and pray! The message from my prayer book is "Follow Me." Social media is useful for many things but can also cause anxiety, sadness or depression for many reasons. I frequently remind myself of the many blessings that God has bestowed upon me and how He has given me everything I need to accomplish the work He wants me to do. This means that we need to keep our focus on God. With so many influences around us, it is easy to become discouraged or feel inadequate. We don't need a larger income, the assurance of success, a better work environment or a different job. God may provide some of these things but we already have everything we need for this day and God will take care of our needs. Our responsibility is to use whatever time, talent and gifts that He has given us to bless others and give God the glory. Jesus and Peter had a conversation that got around to this subject. After making breakfast on the shore of Galilee, Jesus told Peter what would happen at the end of his life. Pointing to another disciple, Peter asked, "What about him?" Jesus responded, "What is that to you?" This is the question we need to remind ourselves when the daily struggles of life are swirling around us, to keep our focus on Him and His will for our life! Our daily mission should be to humble ourselves as followers of Jesus trusting Him with it all! Scripture verse: John 21:22 Jesus answered, "....you must follow Me." Wishing you all many blessings!
