Childhood Cancer Awareness Day / September 13, 2019

September 2019 is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and is symbolized by a gold ribbon, worn to commemorate the event. This is an annual international awareness month to raise support, funding and awareness of childhood cancers and the impact for victims of childhood cancer and their families.

Childhood cancer is devastating to growth and development in children, as well as detrimental to their families and friends. Their focus may be on medication, operations, and what life they have remaining at a time when young people should be focusing on school, play and socializing. We want to encourage everyone to show their love and support.

Even though Childhood Cancer Awareness is only one month, it is every day for the families and friends who are affected by a loved one who has or had cancer. We will continue in Bella's memory to raise as much awareness as possible through her legacy.
