Summer always goes by way too fast! I hope that you have been able to take some time to enjoy with family and friends and the beauty of God's creation. May everyone who is going back to school have a safe, healthy and blessed school year.
We are preparing for September's whole month of fundraising for pediatric cancer cure research. Wait til you see our awesome t-shirts! Also, we will be offering again an opportunity to help us raise money without donating from your pocket through HundredX surveys.
More families are reaching out to us and their many needs are ongoing. There are extra burdens on families due to hospital stays and when their child is in treatment. One parent usually has to quit working and becomes the 24/7 caregiver which places a huge financial strain on the family. We help families with gift cards for food, gas, emergency needs plus financial assistance for rent, mortgage, utilities, medical bills, funeral expenses and emergencies.
Also, when a child receives one of your gift donations during treatment, it lifts their spirits and makes them feel loved during their battle!
We thank all of our annual Business Sponsors for their support! We are ALWAYS in need of business annual sponsors. This is how we receive some of our greatest amount of funding to help support our programs.
Our Golden Sponsor is Johnston Orthodontics. If you or your child needs an AWESOME orthodontist, look no further, and call 864-877-2929. We are so thankful for the excellent care that they provided to Bella.
Our Silver Sponsor is D&D Motors. If you are looking to buy or sell a vehicle, please don't look any further for excellent service and contact them at 888-253-5950.
If you know of any business who would like to become an annual sponsor to support children and their families on this journey, please have them contact brenda@angelheartofhope.org.
Remember our ministry in prayer, the families we serve and the medical teams that care for children with life threatening illnesses. We are truly humbled and blessed to be on this journey of faith. If you would like me to add your name to the prayer list, please email me at: brenda@angelheartofhope.org and I will update the prayer list regularly. You can also email me with any specific prayer requests that you want me to pray about privately. God is love. Treat everyone with love and kindness.
Hera Lainey has legally changed her to name to Thomasin Grace. She is a music singing artist and a dear friend who created a single "Some People Never", written and sung by her in memory of Bella. It is available for purchase on itunes and various music sites. 100% of the proceeds from this song will go towards our ministry! It is a beautiful tribute! Areshi, Thomasin's partner is also a musician at:www.areshimusic.com. Thomasin's website is still: www.heralainey.com.
If you shop on Amazon, our former link is extinct- http://smile.amazon.com/ch/83-0996431. Amazon no longer offers a portion of purchases to nonprofits and has sadly discontinued their smile program.

The spiritual message for August is: Peace From His Cross
Our daughter, Julia, loves dutch art. One contemporary painting by Dutch artist Egbert Modderman, titled Simon of Cyrene, portrays Simon's somber eyes that reveal the immense physical and emotional burden of his responsibility. Mark 15 in the Bible states that Simon was pulled from the watching crowd to carry the cross of Jesus as He was on His way to a brutal death.
Simon was from Cyrene which was a large city in North Africa and had a huge population of Jews during Jesus' life. Simon probably journeyed to Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover but found himself in the middle of this unjust execution. However, he was able to perform this compassionate assistance for Jesus.
In the gospel of Mark, Jesus tells his followers, " Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me." Following on the road to Golgotha, Simon literally carried out what Jesus asks us to figuratively do; he took up the cross that was given to him and carried it for Jesus to be crucified on.
All of us have crosses to bear at different times in our life. It could be the stress of our job, family, elder parents, an illness, addiction, depression, grief or persecution for our faith. However, Jesus wants us to trust in Him and His hope in salvation. Carrying our burdens in faith, points people to the sufferings of Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross. Our example in faith, encourages others to keep the faith also. Remember, it is the cross of Jesus that gives us peace with God and strength to endure on our own personal journey.
Prayer: Jesus, thank you for not forsaking the pain I experience as I take up my cross and follow You. Give me the courage and strength, even when the journey is difficult, to be Your example for others.
Wishing you all many blessings!
In Peace and Love,
Brenda
