Happy Spring & Happy Mother's Day:)

I wish all of the different types of moms a very happy Mother's Day:) I miss my mom and daughter every day but am thankful to have my stepdaughter and stepmom in my life, whom I love dearly.

Each year, spring time and the Easter season announce the good news of our risen Savior and eternal hope that continues throughout the months and years. There is a painting from 1898 in the Musee d’ Orsay museum in France titled: The Disciples Peter and John Running to the Sepulchre on the Morning of the Resurrection by Eugene Burnand. The emotions of fear and hope expressed on the faces of Peter and John draw you into the photo as if you were there with them.

The painting based on John 20:1-10 portrays the two disciples running towards the empty tomb of Jesus with intensity and confusion. Their faith at that time may not have been fully matured but they still ran towards Jesus. He revealed Himself to them several times after the resurrection of the “Good News” that He is alive and there is eternal hope through Him.

Even though we may not have their experience with the empty tomb, we still have the same hope passed down through centuries of generations.

When life beats us down, pounding us with doubts, fear, anxiety, worries and uncertainties, God’s everlasting word in scripture reminds us of His love and faithfulness.

No matter how big the battles you are facing, God is bigger and there to ease all of our burdens if you just trust in Him and cling to His Word. Remember God’s faithfulness: You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart.

Scripture verse: Jeremiah 29:13
