Happy 4th of July & it is Sarcoma Awareness Month!

Happy 4th of July! What a blessing to celebrate our independence and freedom in this country and we thank all of our military and leaders who make this possible. I hope that everyone is able to enjoy the beautiful weather and God's creation all around us.

July is also Sarcoma Awareness Month and Bereaved Parents Month. Bella had osteoscaroma, a rare bone cancer. We will continue to raise awareness and pray that no parent has to live without their child one day.

We are planning for September's whole month of fundraising for pediatric cancer cure research. In addition, more families are reaching out to us and their many needs are ongoing. There are extra burdens on families due to hospital stays and when their child is in treatment. One parent usually has to quit working and becomes the 24/7 caregiver which places a huge financial strain on the family. We help families with gift cards for food, gas, emergency needs plus financial assistance for rent, mortgage, utilities, medical bills, funeral expenses and emergencies.

Also, when a child receives one of your gift donations during treatment, it lifts their spirits and makes them feel loved during their battle!

We thank all of our annual Business Sponsors for their support! We are ALWAYS in need of business annual sponsors. This is how we receive some of our greatest amount of funding to help support our programs.

Our Golden Sponsor is Johnston Orthodontics. If you or your child needs an AWESOME orthodontist, look no further, and call 864-877-2929. We are so thankful for the excellent care that they provided to Bella.

Our Silver Sponsor is D&D Motors. If you are looking to buy or sell a vehicle, please don't look any further for excellent service and contact them at 888-253-5950.

If you know of any business who would like to become an annual sponsor to support children and their families on this journey, please have them contact brenda@angelheartofhope.org.

Remember our ministry in prayer, the families we serve and the medical teams that care for children with life threatening illnesses. We are truly humbled and blessed to be on this journey of faith. If you would like me to add your name to the prayer list, please email me at: brenda@angelheartofhope.org and I will update the prayer list regularly. You can also email me with any specific prayer requests that you want me to pray about privately. God is love. Treat everyone with love and kindness.

Hera Lainey has legally changed her to name to Thomasin Grace. She is a music singing artist and a dear friend who created a single "Some People Never", written and sung by her in memory of Bella. It is available for purchase on itunes and various music sites. 100% of the proceeds from this song will go towards our ministry! It is a beautiful tribute! Areshi, Thomasin's partner is also a musician at:www.areshimusic.com. Thomasin's website is still: www.heralainey.com.

If you shop on Amazon, our former link is extinct- http://smile.amazon.com/ch/83-0996431. Amazon no longer offers a portion of purchases to nonprofits and has sadly discontinued their smile program.

We need and believe in prayer!!!! Prayer is sooo powerful!

The message for this month is "Only by Prayer." A friend texted me one evening to tell me that the nurse said her daughter would probably die within 6-12 hours. She was dying from cancer. I gathered enough strength and called to tell my dear friend, through the tears, how much God loved her and how much I loved her and would see her again. I kept telling her each time we spoke that if she can't speak, to just repeat the name of Jesus in her mind because Jesus is with her always and will not forsake her.

She fought for a couple more days and I called her each day to pray and talk to her. The day before she died I called and prayed with her and told her how much I loved her but she was unable to talk, open her eyes or respond. As her mom and I grieved by uncontrollable sobs I heard something in the background. Her mom said she pushed a button on a teddy bear I gave her that she was holding in her hand that played the recording of a bedtime prayer. I know that was her final good-bye to me and a miracle she responded.

I felt so sad, helpless and that cancer was defeating. I prayed so hard and wept for hours each night for God to heal my friend.

The apostle Mark shares a story of another person who wanted to help his loved one. A desperate father brought his suffering son to Jesus. He was doubtful because of the impossibility of their circumstances but acknowledged his need for Jesus to empower his belief. The father and son experienced freedom, hope and peace when Jesus stepped in and took control of their situation.

God knew the suffering my friend was enduring and He didn't want her to suffer anymore. I know she is in perfect peace and rejoicing in the presence of our Savior. When our loved ones are hurting we are desperate to try and make everything better for them but Jesus is the only One who can truly help us. When we call on the name of Jesus, He can enable us to believe and rely on the power of His presence and will for our lives. We can trust Him to never forsake us even in the final moments of death. We thank you Jesus for loving us and for our salvation! Thanks be to God!

Scripture verse: Mark 9:23 Everything is possible for one who believes.

Wishing you all many blessings!

In Peace and Love,

Brenda
