July-Sarcoma Awareness And Our Independence Month

We celebrate over the 4th and this month our independence as a nation and wish everyone safe and wonderful times with family and friends:) We enjoy many freedoms because of the paid sacrifices of our soldiers and thank you.

July is also cancer awareness month. Sarcoma is an uncommon group of cancers which arise in the bones, and connective tissue such as fat and muscle. Bella had osteosarcoma which was a rare bone cancer. The color of the cancer ribbon is yellow and the flower that represents sarcoma is the sunflower.

Families who have a child with cancer/life-threatening illness don't get to enjoy the many things we do. They face many challenges including extra financial burdens and stress due to hospital stays. Your continued support gives hope to these families also through our gifts and financial assistance programs.

In addition, you can help by sharing our nonprofit information with businesses you think may be interested in helping these children. The faith message this month is “Planted in God’s love.” My neighbors asked me to water their plants while they were on vacation. Each day I was excited to see the flowers blooming and new buds appearing. As I watched the colorful flowers freely swaying in the wind and open to the warm sun above in all of their glory, I thought of how God takes care of each one us. When we are planted firmly in faith from seeds that have been laid in our life and watered, we trust that through all of the trial and adversity we face, that God will take care of us through eternity. Like the plants and flowers, life is fleeting, and we will all eventually die but the difference is that Christ is our eternal victor to live for eternity! As 4th of July approaches, we celebrate how blessed we are to live in such a beautiful nation made up of many diverse cultures and with so many freedoms because of our soldiers and God. Remain planted firmly in faith because No matter what happens in life, we always have God to love us and take care of us eternally. Thanks be to God!
