September is Pediatric Cancer Cure Awareness Month

September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness month and we are fundraising for pediatric cancer cure research. Our goal is to help medical institutions find better treatments and eventually cures so that no parent loses their child to this horrible disease. This is the 3rd year we are offering a way for people to raise funds without donating money by answering 1 minute surveys by texting "DFG" to 90412. Everyone who completes all 75 surveys by October 2nd will be entered into a raffle to win 1 of 2 $100 VISA gift cards. Supporters can also make a donation to our monthly cause by visiting www.angelheartofhope.org/september.

In addition, throughout the year, you can help by sharing our nonprofit information with businesses you think may be interested in helping these children through our programs. The monthly message is: A Joyous Heavenly Reunion!

As our September fundraising campaign begins for pediatric cancer cure research, I ponder on Bella's life and the children who have died due to this horrible disease. The word died seems that their life is no more but as Christians, we know that death is only the beginning of eternity for those who believe.

I remind myself that the minute Bella took her last peaceful breath that she was with Jesus because in 2 Corinthians 5:8 it says "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. Immediately, she was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus. Even though I still grieve terribly over her physical absence, I have peace because I know that I WILL spend eternity with her.

The apostle Paul affirms that believers in Jesus don't have to grieve "like the rest of mankind, who have no hope" (1 Thessalonians 4:13). "We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him". Paul acknowledges Jesus' second coming and proclaims that all believers will be reunited with Jesus.

God's promise of a joyous heavenly reunion, where there are no more tears, pain or suffering, can provide peace to our broken hearts when we're grieving the loss of a loved one who has trusted Jesus. Our promised future with our risen Savior also provides enduring hope when we face our own immortality, until the day Jesus comes or calls us home. What a blessing!

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank you for giving me enduring hope to share Your love and good news with others.

Scripture verse: 1 Thessalonians 4:17 We will be with the Lord forever.
