Another school year ends and a new season begins. Summer brings more time to enjoy with family and friends through downtime, vacations and celebrations. Let's remember to thank God for these moments and the beauty around us.
We are planning for September's whole month of fundraising for pediatric cancer cure research. In addition, more families are reaching out to us and their many needs are ongoing. There are extra burdens on families due to hospital stays and when their child is in treatment. One parent usually has to quit working and becomes the 24/7 caregiver which places a huge financial strain on the family. We help families with gift cards for food, gas, emergency needs plus financial assistance for rent, mortgage, utilities, medical bills, funeral expenses and emergencies.
Also, when a child receives one of your gift donations during treatment, it lifts their spirits and makes them feel loved during their battle!

Hera Lainey has legally changed her to name to Thomasin Grace. She is a music singing artist and a dear friend who created a single "Some People Never", written and sung by her in memory of Bella. It is available for purchase on itunes and various music sites. 100% of the proceeds from this song will go towards our ministry! It is a beautiful tribute! The monthly message is "The Gift of Prayer." I never truly realized what a gift prayer was until our daughter, Bella, was faced with cancer. So many people from our community,church, family and friends lifted us up during her journey giving us hope and strength to keep fighting. Many still continue to pray for us and this difficult journey that we daily face without our Bella:( These prayers have been an encouragement to our entire family and expression of God's love for us through others.
One of the best ways to love others is to pray for them. Jesus is our ultimate example in this. Everyone needs prayer and there are so many desperate needs in our world. Pray for the sick, the brokenhearted, our soldiers and nation, our world, those who serve the public, those struggling with grief, abuse, addiction, depression, anxiety, fear, worry, mental issues, the jobless, the childless, the widows, orphans, our children, families and friends, etc... The New Testament shares how Jesus spent time alone in prayer and prayed for others on many occasions. He continues to go to the Father on our behalf.
In Romans 8:34, it states that He "is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us." Even at this very moment in time, our risen Savior, Jesus Christ, continues to express his unending love for us by praying for us ever since his selfless sacrificial love at the cross. Jesus is with us!
There are many around us who need us to be the light and love of Jesus by praying with and for them. As we do this in the name of Jesus, we are inviting God's help and intervention in their lives. Let's ask God to help us pray for others, even amidst our struggles and suffering. May our loving and gracious Lord strengthen us to generously share and give the gift of prayer to others each and every day.
Prayer: Thank you Jesus for praying for me and never forsaking me. Help me to be your humble servant and a light to others in need of prayer.
